misc updates

I got a dog, his name is Skippy. He is a Dachshund. He likes to lick my face.

I bought a couch, actually a love-seat. It's brand new, a rocking recliner.

I've given up on a military career. I'd still really like to, but if I can't do it honestly and without reservation, I'd rather not do it.

I'm serving jury duty this week. That means I'm up all early, like 7am! I haven't been selected to serve on a jury yet, and I may not. On the plus side, the days were I'm not called are like half-days for me, allowing to do get some stuff done around the house.

I've been watching King of the Hill on DVD the last two or three weeks. I've watched up through the end of season six, the last season to be released on DVD. I think they're broadcasting season 10 now.
I've really enjoyed that show. At first I was a little disinterested because the characters are conservative and "whatnot." I've really grown to love this show, it's different enough from Simpsons and Family Guy without being gross or weird like some Adult Swim shows.

I’m also continuing my Star Trek TNG DVD set. I’m up to disk 14 (of 46). I’m somewhere in the third season, which is when the show stopped being a campy space opera.
